FewerThoughts

Steven Feuerstein is one of my favorite persons. Years ago, embracing the spirit of his technical books saved me from an abyss of financial mediocrity, encouraging me towards a wealthy satisfying career which has benefited my family and me in fantastical ways.

However he is the most intellectually dishonest banal bleeding heart liberal when it comes to his political views: FeuerThoughts: Liberal Media bites again? Hah!

Open Letter to Steven:

I want you to understand what people mean when they say, liberal media. What it means is that their bias revolves around four commandments:

#1 There are no moral absolutes.
#2 Hysteria is first; asking intelligent questions is for later (or never).
#3 Feelings matter more than reason.
#4 Words don't mean things.

These concepts are demonstrated consistently by journalists that identify themselves as unbiased in the mainstream media. Now you know.

I love the play on words with FewerThoughts and thanks for your kind words regarding my impact on your professional life.

And I guess I wouldn't mind your name-calling all so much if your counter argument against mind is as hysterical as what you claim the "liberal media" to be/mean.

For example, you claim that the "liberal media" follows this commandment:

#2 Hysteria is first; asking intelligent questions is for later (or never).

So, Michael, what would you call Fox News? It was certainly TOTALLY hysterical about Saddam Hussein; it believed and repeated anything and everything Bush claimed; it didn't ask intelligent questions before the war and hasn't since....

And Fox News was totally wrong, totally complicit in a package of lies sold to us...and very clearly has no respect for the meaning of words and facts.

OK, so I guess Fox News is a proud member of the "liberal media."

Whatever.

Final comment: If you are going to throw around disparaging words at others, you should at least (a) identify yourself on your blog (I at least couldn't get any sense of who you are) and (b) you should put together intellectually consistent arguments and not merely make ludicrous claims.

Ha, ha! Steven Feuerstein is mad at you.

I, too, love Steven for all of the reasons you do, especially since I am the beneficiary of all of your new-found wealth. That being said, I feel about the same way on your political views as I do his; they are not super interesting. Write something I want to read. Something more personal, less far removed.

Also, you are not allowed to use the term "intellectually dishonest" for at least 3 more blogs.

Even with all of that, I love you more everyday.

I always had a certain amount of respect for Mr. Feuerstein. When he started blogging, some of that respect went away (not professionally really).

I was just turned off.

I consider myself more libertarian than anything, you know, socially liberal and fiscally conservative, though I do part ways with them on the war issue.

Anyway, I read mostly for technical related stuff...it seemed it was more appropriate for Salon or the Huffington Post.
