I followed all recommendations from StumbleUpon and various fora to remedy the situation. Even without the plugin, removing cookies and eliminating stored passwords, all stumbleupon.com urls yield only "Incorrect Password" - even the flippin' "contact us" if its all fubar link fails.

What a piece of crap.Michael O'Shaugnessyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16100900614372471677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7196789917521796381.post-19247890575685829072008-04-11T09:28:00.000-05:002008-04-11T09:28:00.000-05:002008-04-11T09:28:00.000-05:00I considered it (admittedly very briefly) but it s...I considered it (admittedly very briefly) but it seemed too new-fangled and complicated for this simple country doctor.

Fundamentally does it let me add a context, some form of analog, on why I want to "share" it? I'll take another look since you are my Personal Web 2.0/3.0 Adviser.

For me it all comes back to: what is a blog? My understanding is that the old school thinking is that blogging is all about publishing useful links one has visited - optionally with context.

The new school thinking on blogs, and my way of thinking, is that they are themselves content, not just a series of links.

My initial impression of StumbleUpon was that is was essentially a convenient means to an old school blog. Which interests me less and less as I see that the old school thinking favoring quantity over quality.

But I will take another look.Michael O'Shaugnessyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16100900614372471677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7196789917521796381.post-25420545852228768632008-04-11T09:10:00.000-05:002008-04-11T09:10:00.000-05:002008-04-11T09:10:00.000-05:00Have you considered using StumbleUpon and its feed...Have you considered using StumbleUpon and its feed instead?Andrew Baderahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00595155485109797786noreply@blogger.com
